Extended Legal Services Team Leader

If you are passionate about civil law and want to play a key role in transforming the legal sector within a growing company, we are looking for an Extended Legal Services Team Leader – Real Estate to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and optimizing legal activities related to disputes surrounding real estate transactions for our buyer or seller clients. You will act as a reference point for the team, ensuring the quality of legal analyses and correspondence, as well as overall efficiency in case management.

Main Responsabilities

  • Supervise, support, and train lawyers handling real estate disputes (pre-litigation)
  • Plan task distribution and schedules according to priorities and available resources
  • Ensure the quality of legal interventions and produced documents
  • Define and oversee legal strategies according to case issues
  • Participate in resolving complex and high-impact cases
  • Supervise or actively take part in negotiations and amicable settlements
  • Coordinate external technical expertise (inspectors, appraisers, engineers)
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and applicable legal rules
  • Implement tools and processes to improve service quality and efficiency
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and manage their expectations
  • Share knowledge and train the team on legislative and jurisprudential developments

 

Profile

  • Member of the Quebec Bar for at least 5 years
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil law
  • Experience in real estate law and civil litigation (an asset)
  • Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken, to effectively serve a bilingual clientele
  • Mobilizing leadership, rigor, and organizational skills
  • Coaching, mentoring, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
  • Comfortable with technological tools and CRM systems

Underwriting Assistant

If you want to play a key role in transforming the legal sector within a growing company, we are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our team.

You will play a key role in supporting operations. This versatile position combines direct support responsibilities for underwriting activities as well as administrative tasks related to the daily management of our Saint-Lambert office.

Main Responsitilities

  • Maintain a functional, clean, and welcoming work environment.
  • Coordinate daily administrative activities: mail management, supply procurement, and logistical organization of meetings and internal events
  • Welcome and guide visitors and new employees, fostering a professional and friendly experience.
  • Manage follow-up on external service contracts (cleaning, minor repairs, etc.) to ensure operational continuity.
  • Independently handle renewals, modifications, and issuance of policies, as well as their transmission to insured clients.
  • Collect, validate, and ensure the quality of data necessary for risk assessment by clarifying incomplete files with brokers.
  • Respond to brokers’ routine inquiries and redirect more complex cases.
  • Perform financial follow-ups, including managing unpaid premiums, producing monthly reports, and recording deposits in internal systems (GP, CRM).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in system testing to optimize underwriting processes.

 

Profile

  • College diploma in administration, insurance, finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in office administration and underwriting support (2 to 3 years preferred).
  • Proficiency with office tools (Microsoft Office suite, email, CRM).
  • Knowledge of underwriting processes and insurance policy management.
  • Ability to produce reports and perform precise follow-ups.
  • Bilingual in French and English to communicate with both Francophone and Anglophone clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, and commitment to quality work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and interact with various stakeholders (brokers, colleagues, management).

  • Explain legal information in plain language to facilitate understanding of it
  • Conducting case law research
  • Manage legal expenses insurance claims
  • Write formal notices and review contracts
  • Conducting negotiations

We want to meet with you if you:

  • Member of the Quebec Bar since 5 years or of another Canadian Bar or both
  • Experience in civil and administrative law
  • Fluency in French and English both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of research tools (CAIJ, Azimut, CanLII)
  • Ability to offer legal information in plain language
  • Common Law degree considered an asset
